Can Mu-so 2nd Generation be used as a soundbar?

Yes, the Mu-so 2nd Generation can be used as a soundbar when connected using the HDMI ARC port on the underside of the Mu-so 2nd Generation. You can also connect the Mu-so 2nd Generation to a TV via the Digital Input on the underside of Mu-so 2nd Generation. Can the Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation be used as a soundbar?

Yes, the Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation can be used as a soundbar when connected using the Digital Input on the back of the Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation. Please ensure the TV audio output is set to PCM stereo out. The Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation does not support Dolby or DTS encoded audio. fter a factory reset, my Bluetooth device can not reconnect to Mu-so 2nd Generation, why?

A factory reset clears the Bluetooth history, meaning that your last connected device will not be able to reconnect. You need to delete the pairing on your Bluetooth device and pair again to Mu-so 2nd Generation. For more information, see the ”Bluetooth Options: Forget a Bluetooth Connection” topic.

Mu-so 2nd Generation won?t pair with Bluetooth on my iOS device.

This happens if you have previously paired your iOS device then performed a factory reset on Mu-so 2nd Generation. Delete the unit from the iOS Bluetooth device list as shown below and pair again. Check that ‘Open pairing’ is enabled in the Naim app Bluetooth settings. Ensure Mu-so 2nd Generation is turned on. Touch Settings. Touch Bluetooth. Touch the ’i’ next to the unconnected Mu-so 2nd Generation. Touch ’Forget this Device’. Then follow the ’Connect Bluetooth device’ tutorial in the First Time Installation section.

Mu-so 2nd Generation isn't playing music files on my USB drive

The Mu-so 2nd Generation can handle NTFS, HFS and FAT32 formatted drives to allow playback of music files. You may need to re-format your USB drive. Make sure to back-up all data on the USB drive before re-formatting. For more information on supported file types, see the “Specifications” topic.

How do I change Internet Radio presets?

To add Radio Station favourites select the station you wish to add and touch the Star icon. To remove a Radio Station favourite press the Star icon to deselect it. Alternatively, navigate to the Radio Favourites list and touch the … icon next to the desired station. Then touch Remove from Favourites.

Will Multiroom work with other third party products

No, Mu-so 2nd Generation will only work with other Naim streaming devices. You can use Chromecast or AirPlay to multiroom with third party products.

What is the USB input in the app used for?

The USB input is used to browse and stream the music stored on a USB stick. For more information please see “Playing audio via the USB connection”.

What is the maximum size HDD/ flash drive that can be used with the Mu-so 2nd Generation?

USB sticks, self powered USB HDDs and bus powered USB HDDs can be used. We recommend that drives should contain less than 100,000 tracks for best performance.

How can I connect my Mu-so 2nd Generation to a network?

You can connect wirelessly or via a wired connection, using an Ethernet cable direct to the router or using Ethernet over mains adapters. For more information see the topics “Set up Using a Wired Connection” and “Set up Wi-Fi Using Naim App (iOS)” or "Set up Wi-Fi Using Naim App (Android)" in the First Time Installation category.

What can be “favourited”?

Artists, Albums & Tracks from your local music or TIDAL, internet radio stations and Spotify playlists can all be selected as favourites from within the Naim app.

Can I play music on a USB stick?

Yes simply plug in the USB stick in to the USB port, touch the USB input on the app home screen or on the top UI and navigate to the music you wish to play.
