ND555‘s streaming card will allow it to Multiroom with all other Naim streaming products

What is the USB input in the app used for?

The USB input is used to browse and stream the music stored on a USB stick. For more information please see “Playing audio via the USB connection”.

Will remotes and other accessories be available to purchase or be replaced easily?

Yes, the remote will be available as a spare part or as an accessory.

How can I connect my ND555 to a network?

You can connect wirelessly or via a wired connection, using an Ethernet cable direct to the router or using Ethernet over mains adapters.

Can I access UPnP through the remote?

No UPnP is only available via the app.

Can I access local music through the remote?

Yes, music on USB storage can be browsed and played using the remote or via the Naim app.

Will the remote control other Naim products?

The remote can control the ND555, Uniti Atom, Uniti Nova, Uniti Star and NDX2 and can only be paired with one product at a time.

Can you change the background image?

No this is not possible, the background image reflects the Album artwork of the music playing.

Can you fast-forward or rewind with the remote?

No this is not possible but you can skip to the next or previous tracks via the remote.

What does “Input Trim” mean?

Input trim is used to adjust the volume level of the input relative to other inputs. Use this if the source connected to this input is too loud or quiet. For more information, see the “Using Input Trim” topic.

How do I select output sockets on the ND555?

Touch the Settings icon within the Naim application. Touch Output Settings. Touch the desired output setting from the available options: DIN RCA DIN+RCA Digital BNC E.g. Touch DIN+RCA.

I am about to move to a country which supplies 115V instead of 230V, do I need to swap my ND5 XS 2?

To allow your ND5 XS 2 to be used in a country with a different mains voltage to the one where it was purchased it will need to be modified internally. Contact your dealer or distributor for more details.
