What media server should I use?

You should use a media server that best suits your media library and the computer or NAS you are running it on. We have tried many paid and free media servers and have had excellent results with servers such as Asset EyeConnect Jamcast J. River Tversity Twonky Windows Media Player and XBMC. Features that you should consider are for example: ability to transcode to PCM on the fly if you have some music in an unsupported format virtual soundcard functionality to play whatever audio is playing on your PC speed we have found that some servers are quicker than others at serving up your library playlists artist lists etc Most servers offer trial versions so that you can try them in your own system to see which fits your needs best.
